Who We Are
Coptic Voice is a registered 501(c)(3) that aims to provide a platform for the English-speaking Coptic Diaspora. We are a comprehensive medium that serves as an online publication, an advocacy space, a podcast host, and more. We use these varied avenues to connect Copts all over the globe across issues of human rights, identity, faith, and more.

UPLIFTING OUR COMMUNITY
What We Do
Coptic Voice provides a support system and platform for the hundreds of thousands of Copts living in the diaspora.
We work to cultivate a safe place for fellow Copts in the diaspora to forge their collective identity by engaging in meaningful conversations about what it means to be, to live, and to exist as a Coptic Egyptian in America.
We strive to ensure that through these conversations, the Coptic American Diaspora becomes a force to be reckoned with as they advocate for their own people and amplify their voices– both in Egypt and in America.
Our Mission
To help forge the global Coptic identity through multimedia, providing a platform for Copts to dialogue and engage in discourse surrounding their identities, thereby strengthening the diaspora’s political bargaining power to challenge human rights abuses around the world.
Our Story:
Since the mid-1900s, many Coptic Christians have left their homes in Egypt to settle all over the world, from Italy and Australia, to the United States and Canada. This continued emigration from the homeland has now seen an entire generation of diaspora Copts that were born and have died in these new countries that they call home– and sometimes, without ever setting eyes on Egypt.
While the Egyptian culture and the Coptic faith is kept alive within these thriving diaspora communities, it would be erroneous to assume that a Copt born and raised in New Jersey would share the same values, ideas, and experiences held by a Copt living in Cairo. Nevertheless, despite this booming population of western-raised Copts, our presence is continuously ignored, unknown, or overlooked.
